经济学

The 经济学 Department at Pasadena City College teaches you a basic understanding of what is going on in the world and the economy in which you live. 参加一门课程 to satisfy a General Education requirement or to begin preparing to transfer and earn a degree in 经济学.

经济学 is the study of the production and consumption of goods and the transfer of wealth to produce and obtain those goods.

Studying 经济学 will give you a basic understanding of what is going on in the world and in the economy in which you live and to which you can contribute. 你会 also receive a foundation for understanding business news.

By studying 经济学, you will learn how to:

  • Apply the concepts of scarcity and opportunity costs in making economic decisions.
  • Use the theory of demand and supply to explain market equilibrium and the effects of government interventions.
  • Analyze measures of national income accounting, economic growth, inflation and unemployment.
  • Identify, analyze and evaluate fiscal and monetary theory and policy.
